Today we went to Omkids and we did some yoga. At first, Bryan and Juan though it was going to be boring but it turned out to be very fun and relaxing. Our instructor was Amy. She taught us how to do some interesting yoga poses. We did poses like Mountain pose, down dog, and then mountain again, and then down dog, and then upwards dog,cat and cow. After we did all that we learned how to do a child pose, this helps your back. We also did the tree poses, crab walk, and gorilla walk at the yoga studio. We had a lot and fun. At the end of our yoga session we did a three minute rest which felt good. Then when we went walking back. Everyone was saying what was their favorite poses are and that is the blog for our trip today.
Here are some photos of our yogi experience:

The Bus Ride to the Watertown Free Public Library
" Here comes Bus 71!" hollered Bryan. As the bus arrived, we ran to it, but missed it by seconds! Then another bus came by and we got on. We sat down on the blue seats while Mrs. Bailey paid with her Charlie Card. Eventually, we stepped off of the bus and on our way to the library we saw lots of monuments. When we got to the library, Mrs. Bailey gave us a scavenger hunt to do. Then after we finished the scavenger hunt, we got to pick out books from the library. After picking out books, we signed up for the Watertown Public Library Summer Reading Program. When we signed up for the Summer Reading Program, whoever was entering sixth grade had to sign up in the Teen Room. Before we left the library, Mrs. Horrigan and Mrs. Bailey got maps of Watertown. We left the library and headed to the bus stop and got a 71 bus back towards the Hosmer School. We voted this trip, the best one so far this week!

Firestation Visit
Visiting the Fire Station on Mt. Auburn St.
"Okay, let's go!" called Mrs. Horrigan. We set out on our walk to the fire station. When we walked outside it was so hot. We drink our water. We saw a plaque. Its for the chief. After, Harry the fireman came out to greet us. He put on his gear it weighed 80 lb! They showed us their boat. They used the boat for saving peoples' lives. They showed us their engines, how to pump the gas and water pumping. Then they demonstrated the fire pole. On the fire truck there was more than one thousand feet of hoses. After we had to go we said our goodbyes and thank yous and left the building and walked back to the Hosmer school. It was a super fun trip.

Trip to Arax Grocery Store
Here are our accounts of our walking trip to Arax Grocery Store:
Hello, my name is Juan Carlos. My class and I went to Arax Grocery Store in Watertown, MA. We went to the store and got some food to make a fruit salad and it is looking good. We got grapes, blueberries, mangoes, and more, but I got oranges, lemon, and mangoes. Oranges are .99 cents a pound, mangoes cost $1.19 and lemons cost $1.99. I got these fruits because if you put them together it will taste really good.
Anson: Today we went to a store named Arax Grocery Store. I bought apricots. Why did I buy them? It is because they are soft and looked juicy. They cost $2.44.
Melanie: We went to Arax Grocery Store. I bought grapes. I chose grapes because they are sweet and sour. They cost $2.73. Now we are making fruit salad.
Bryan: Today at the grocery store I bought apricots because they look very juicy.
The price of the apricot were two dollars and forty-four cents.
Diana: I went to Arax Grocery store. My friend and I bought blueberries. It cost $2.50. We bought blueberries for fruit salad. Other groups got other things. Now we came back to make fruit salad.
Andre: Today we have been to Arax Grocery Store. I bought mangoes and an orange. It cost $3.38 and $.99. I like the fruit because they are squishy.
Helen: Today I went to the store and I bought strawberries. It cost $1.99. I chose the fruit because I LOVE it!
Faryal:I went to Arax Grocery Store. I bought red grapes. We are making fruit salad. We have some more fruits like apricots, strawberries, mangoes, blueberries, and lemons.
Catherin: Today I went to a grocery store called Arax Store. At the grocery store I bought delicious strawberries. The strawberries cost $1.99. I chose this because they are very healthy and they are my most favorite fruit because they are also healthy. After, when we came back from the grocery store, we made a fruit salad. There were apricots, blueberries, mangoes, oranges, grapes, lemons, and of course strawberries.
Jimena: Today Diana and I bought blueberries. I got this fruit because Diana and I thought if we added blueberries it would make the fruit salad better because without blueberries it would not be a fruit salad . The blueberries cost $2.50.
